  • performance drops in SLI

Purchased another MSI n560gtx to run in SLI. Computer recognizes it but now wont even play bf3 on Max settings if in SLI, when with only one card it plays Max settings great. Am I missing a step? Wish I would have went with a better card in the initial.

Phenom II x4 965 BE CPU
    850 psu

    Any ideas?

Could be the psu-enough juice? Updated drivers?

Drivers have been updated. How do i check if the PSU is straining? I used one of those online psu calculaters and it basically said the corsair 850 was overly sufficient.

SLI is a disaster. Have you ever run it before?

Never have run dual video cards before. I had the extra room in my case and wanted to check out ultra on bf3 so I figured I would give it a go.

            What PSU do you have?
Post up a screenshot of your Nvidia Control Panel SLI section.

The beta work better, but not good enough. I'm done with this, it's going back.

Have you verified that they're not dropping into 2D clocks?

No. I boxed up the other card already unfortunately. I'm good with the single for now. Thx all for trying to assist.

If it is, it's easily remedied and can net you 30ish% perf gain.

I still think his psu isn't strong enough.

I'm running a Q6600, GTS450, GTX260, 9800GT, 4x80mm fans, 4x120mm fans, all components OC'd and under 100% load on an Antec HC 750w PSU. His is plenty I assure you.

Everest reports the 12v incorrectly. I've checked it w/a meter.
