Our testing has proved otherwise so far. For our specific needs and app testing. We don't go by what how they rate themselves.Originally posted by roliath View Post(which is faster than those Fusion drives).

Now the net gain being worth the extra capital.. that's a different story.

Please tell me that the Crucial M4 doesn't have a Sandforce interface...Originally posted by 5.0_CJ View PostOne of my RAID drives shit the bed last night. I went to sit down and my system bluescreened, rebooted with a S.M.A.R.T. warning/failure to boot. Luckily since I keep it in RAID 1 configuration I still had a backup... but get this... my other drive failed a scan... so it's going bad also. I moved over all essential data to my Ark drive....

So, I bought a Crucial M4 128GB SSD for my system files... a new dawn has arrived. I did my homework and settled on the Crucial, it was between the M4 or the Samsungs. It's one of the fastest SATA III's on the market so it should be pretty killer.

I wouldn't trust any important data on a drive using it...

That's the reason I avoided many of the manufacturers. Crucial uses the Marvell controller, much more reliable. The M4 scored a 7.1 on the windows performance test... I was hoping for higher. According to the performance index, it's the slowest part of my system by a long shot.Originally posted by Gargamel View PostPlease tell me that the Crucial M4 doesn't have a Sandforce interface...
