They were getting complaints from developers about the long trial periods. I think one day is a little long but 15 min is way to short.

I don't see the issue in a day really. IF the app is good you'll keep it. I only needed to refund one and in fairness I did it within 30 minutes of having it. (some theme) All my other apps just don't get uninstalled.

15 minutes is way too short, especially if it fucks your phone up somehow, and forces you to start the ROM all over, then you're stuck with it until you can fix the phone.
