Just bought a new laptop

Nah, its not for work. I use it for my hobby, recording racing stuff and editing em. 500 was kinda my limit with the price. Is there any better ones out there for $500. I doubt i can take this back. Ive already put some stuff on it.

Did you buy it at Walmart (search on that model # made it seem as it was specifically made for Walrmart)? If so, they have a 15 day return policy on Computers and Comptuer Hardware:

•Computers & Computer Hardware: Must be returned within 15 days of receipt.

FYI, this laptop for $500 (same manufacturer) will do the job better than the one you purchased, has a faster processor, larger display, and a dedicated video card with 1GB of RAM.

I got the acer at wal-mart. And it was 389.99 but i got the warranty that went with it and that was 74.99. So just about 500. And that thing only has 1G of ram?

The 1gb of RAM is for the dedicated video card (ATI Radeon). System RAM it has 4gb (upgradeable to 8GB), same size Hard drive as you have, larger screen, better processor, DVD burner, better webcam, same OS. Overall it's a better computer, but for video editing the fact that it has a better processor and a dedictated video card will make it much faster and should play 1080p videos without any issues. I would still upgrade the RAM to 8GB, but its not as big a deal due to the better processor and video card.

You have me very intrigued. I just might return this computer. lol. Problem is i didnt pay all of it with one card. I put 300 on my card and and the rest on my rents card. Sooo. lol. Guess i gotta wait till next paycheck. lol

There should either be a disk, or a partition on the computer that will basically restore it to the way it came from the factory. Basically a procedure you run through that will wipe the hard drive and put it back to new. I would recommend you save any documents and videos you created before you wipe it clean. Also, don't forget you only have 15 days to return it, so don't wait too long.

Let me tell you, this bitch flys! I really like the touch screen option. My other business CPU is a POS touch screen and I really like this feature. The backlit keyboard rocks, no more lights on at night.
