Honestly it's like starting an Android vs. iPhone discussion, they both have loyal followings. Overall the Intel i7 processors are better regarded (and benchmark marginally higher) but the AMD A8 processors are also very good. In the end, I wouldn't hesitate to go with either one, just listing that deal since some people have preferences on processors.

Most computers will come with an existing manufacturer's warranty. How long that warranty is will vary by manufacturer, but most of them are for 12 months.

I never purchase a seperate warranty, but fixing computers is something I've been doing for 15 years now, so if something breaks I'll fix it myself.

That's the problem with Fry's, their deals are usually great, but they sell out of stuff constantly. You can try calling up the closest store to you and see what they say.

Regardless, we've shown you that you can buy a much better laptop for your money. I would return your current one, save your pennies, and keep an eye out for a great deal.
