Sprint 4G LTE network rollout date?

3G sucks indeed. I was on the phone with them last night trying to see about updating PRL Profiles resetting Network etc..

Has the battery life on the new LTE been improved any?

And don't feel bad about crappy 3g speeds, those are "normal" 3g speeds.

I keep telling myself that as soon as the LTE gets up and running, I am buying one...no point before then (WiMax still works so-so)

I don't have the lte radio on, so battery life is great. sprint has given me credit for the first month as well. since the first day the phone was pretty fucking unusable. I kept getting errors when calling and texting.

Only phones with have a sprint 4G LTE radio will work, so only their newest line of phones. The new EVO for example. No iPhone is 4g yet.

This new Evo sucks donkey balls. First, I came from the 4G Evo to this new version knowing that the LTE network is not up...yeah, should have waited. I paid $150 for a phone that is not even 100% functional yet.

Second, the signal is shitty to say the least. Most of the time it pops in roaming in my house and then it takes forever to connect a call on the digital network. Then it will drop the call if I move or lay down on the couch or something.

Sometimes the phone lags and then when it finally un-freezes after a second or two it goes to the home screen and says "loading" as if I had just started the phone up. The other day, I was at my house on my WIFI (Verizon Fios) and the web app completely closed while I was in the middle of reading an article. This is only if I can actually get the i-net page to load...on my home WIFI

Needless to say I am not very happy with the phone but I am stuck seeing as I was the idiot paying for it. The coverage is mediocre at best and the bugs seem to be aplenty within my device. I did think about returning it to get the S3 but don’t feel like haggling with the sales people. If the service does not get better I will be changing to Verizon probably June 2014, I have been with spring for 12 years and the same #...

Im not sure if it has anything to do with the LTE upgrade or not but Sprint service in Ellis county has been beyond terrible since the 1st of July. When I went to the Sprint store in Midlothian to activate my Evo 4G the rep told me that the data network was down and that it had been for several days. The tower in Red Oak at Ovilla Rd. has been going in and out with data and talk to the point that yesterday my phone couldn't receive or make calls, and could only use data (go figure)...and the Waxahachie tower is a bit far away so I keep dropping calls. I called sprint yesterday and of course the guy on the phone told me that upgrades had been made and the network was back up...even though he acknowledged there had been numerous reports of problems in the area. My phone is working RIGHT NOW on the Red Oak tower....but I don't trust it to stay up considering all the problems I've had for the last week.

Update rolled out sometime today, getting LTE now. lost root because of the update(need to go to software update in settings) and will re root later. Also they changed the colors on my swype keyboard, guess its time to install the beta after all.

I can't even get OTA updates it seems, it tried to update just now but it boots into CWM instead of samsung and verification fails.
actually I think the update I got today was for the google search.


use ota rootkeeper next time to preserve root.

edit: I just turned off wifi, i'm getting some 4g here at home but its way low strength.
