I agree with this move. The ads are there so the developer doesn't have to charge for their apps. Blocking their ads is costing them money.

If I use about app w/ads, it's to see if it does what I need/want. If so, I then buy it. Aside from that, I despise websites littered w/ads, so I block them.

I'm going to guess that there are way more people that never purchase the ad-free version. I hate having to wade through pages crammed full of ads, too, but there are plenty of sites that limit the number of ads that are affected by ad blockers.

I'm not buying an app for any of my devices unless it has a free version. Usually can tell in the first 30 minutes if I dig and and then go buy it. Only exception was that juicedefender app (on an iPhone these days), it took about a year before I bought it.
