So I have a Samsung Galaxy SII "Skyrocket" that I rooted last year so I can have access to some different apps and to remove some bloatware as well. AT&T just released the Jelly Bean update and I think I want to update my phone. Do I need to do anything before downloading and installing it via Kies? Sorry I'm at work and have limited access to websites so I thought I would ask her in preparation of trying this when I get home later.

Back everything up that you want with TiBU, Odin back to stock including recovery, update, re-root, restore.
Edit:make sure the backup is to the external sd.
