No no no. I am old enough to remember the golden years of PC gaming. Back when you installed and played a game through Dos, then gave the disc to all of your friends and they did the same. Back when a CD key could be used an unlimited number of times on an unlimited number of machines. The day that PC gaming became a DRM shit storm was November 16th, 2004, the day that Half Life 2 came out and used steam.
Consoles held out for a long time, but they have finally succumbed to greed.
not sure why the big fuss on used game purchases. They are cutting out the Gamestops of the world and making it more like PC software always has been, now that you are required to keep the thing online.

Rumor has it that there will be activation fee's for used games will will significantly lower assholes like gamestop to offer $15 for trade in then resell it for $50. However, depending on what the fees are, will it be worth getting used from a private party?
