I'd keep an eye for deals on a new one. Might find some decent ones on craigslist. I3/I5 are still rather new and very usable so not likely a ton used.

I found a I5 on Craigs list
8 gig, 9 months left on warranty, 2 batterys, spare hd tray, hd tv adapter connector, nice case, bios password issue resolved, HP elitebook HP 8440p , $300, not stolen, drove 4 miles to meet the guy. Grandson very happyDon't worry about what you can't change.
