Jailbreak iOS8, anyone?

Last week, I made the transition from android back to iPhone. My android started to get on my nerves and I hate how they distribute their updates. However I find myself trying to make my iPhone do what my old Samsung used to do but it seems like it can't and it won't without it being jail broken. It's been a while since I've done any jb'ing. Has anyone done theirs lately?

FYI, don't blame Android for the crap Samdung and your carrier do. If you'd go the Nexus route, you'd get the updates on a timely manner and sans carrier prohibitions.

Edit:If the update process really is the problem, Moto X gets the updates damn near s fast as Nexus.
