Got a text about it yesterday from my brother and thought it was BS spam but just read a story on Engadget about it. ATT is offering 1000 free rollover minutes to say thanks for not jumping ship and going to verizon. All you have to do is text "yes" to 11113020 on your att cell.

Sorta but no. It works best if you have an Android phone. I assume it would work w/an iPhail too.
