Yeah, I've been looking into one but haven't figured out where to put it where ti won't be annoying. There are some guys who have them in modified coleman coolers with intake/exhaust ducting to vent the heat and quiet them down.
I looked at the S9 and from the manufacturer it's only $1500(in bitcoin cash[BCH] only) but there's a 2-3 month wait vs $4000+ now and have it in a few days.

Make sure you have a place to put those asic miners that you don't care about noise pollution. Those S9s are pretty loud, like 70-75db.

My little scrap of bitcoin that I had left over from my initial investments, is now worth over $1,000. I just left it sitting there, not even caring about it cause I couldn't find anything worth investing such a small amount. Good times.

Had a non-technical friend text me wanting me to build him a mining rig. He came into about $4k and wants to mine Ether and BTC. Interesting offer as he said he'd fund the start up costs 100% and then (profits - overhead)/2. Looks like I may get to play in the mining world.
So, you have $4k. Want to mine BTC and maybe Etherium. Buy pre-assembled, or piece it all together?
Other thoughts, concerns?

Anyone else jumping on this gravy train? I signed up for Coinbase to get my feet wet. If anyone else wants to give it a try, you can click on this link and sign up with $100 minimum. Using the link will also get you and I $10 bucks in bitcoin.

I'm attending 2017 Blockchain Conference in Silicon Valley this week. Bitcoin's roller coaster is a huge topic. But nit the only one.
