Update!

I got the modem/router deal in today!!

Then I called Verizon. They said my internet won't be hooked up until the
30th of this month.

So....I asked them politely to speed the process along, and the nice lady said she'll call me back within the hour. Now I wait.

I think the biggest reason for the delay is that most of the techs that were dsl installers have switched to vios installers. A friend of mine did just that.
