The world premiere for The Avengers was held on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, California.The film is scheduled to close the 11th Annual Tribeca Film Festival with a screening on April 28, 2012.

It makes absolutely no sense that it's released in the rest of the world right now. It's been released since April 11th.

where you getting your information from? I agree releasing it internationally before the U.S. release does not make sense, but I see where it is set to release internationally on April 25, not 11th as stated.
