It is hard for me to include a TV series as a favorite compared to most war movies. Although as a kid my favorite show was Black Sheep Squadron and I think they did a decent job with that show even though most of the flight footage was canned crap. Tour of Duty was much the same way, I watched it and liked it.Originally posted by racrguyWhat's your beef with NPR, because their listeners are typically more informed than others?Originally posted by racrguyVoting is a constitutional right, overthrowing the government isn't.

Are you referring to my suggestion of M.A.S.H or something else? Because M.A.S.H. was a movie first.Originally posted by Broncojohnny View PostIt is hard for me to include a TV series as a favorite compared to most war movies. Maybe we should get a little more specific:
Pacific Theater war movies:
1) Letters from Iwo Jima
2) Bridge Over the River Kwai
3) Tora Tora Tora
4) Empire of the Sun
5) The Pacific
what else we got? I think Kwai was a great rise and overcome movie.Last edited by CJ; 08-22-2011, 05:40 PM."When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin

Ah yeah, that's a good one. I have it in my library... not sure how I forgot that one. Excellent - and before Christian Bale became a douchebag!Originally posted by mstng86 View PostEmpire of the Sun
I added it, how's that look from a quality perspective?
Empire of the Sun is a really good movie, from a really unique perspective. It's just long as shit."When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin
