Basically he flies an airplane upside down drunk, drinks and does drugs the whole movie, and John Goodman plays a Jamaica

No, it's another Denzel flick where he's the most talented human being in the world and the only person who could do what he did; in other words, it's just like every other Denzel Washington movie ever, because those are the only scripts he accepts. They tried to mitigate that quality a bit by making his character tragically flawed in this movie, but it comes off as a bit disingenuous to me.

Wasn't a terrible movie, though.

i thought it was a good movie.

i get what slowhand is saying. the majority of his roles are all built to make him the BEST THING EVER!!!1

however, i dont find the guy to be a disingenuous human, he is a pretty active humanitarian and he and his wife always seem to be good people publicly. then again, they are pretty public about it so it might all be about publicity.

Finally downloaded and watched this. I thought it was a great flick, sad, but well done. I was happy to see he did the right thing at the end, fuck the union.

If for no other reason, the Nadine Velazquez opening scene is worth watching it.
