Caught it yesterday after work. I enjoyed most of it but didn't like the ending.

My favorite zombie movie is dawn of the dead 2004. I like fast zombies.

My favorite as well. And one of the most realistic IMO in as far as the zombies didn't do anything that a regular human couldn't do.

I liked that remake. I wouldn't call those the fastest zombies ever, and not all of them were even fast (like the one in the fountain). I just don't like fast zombies for dick-headed nerdy reasons. And turbo zombies, like 28 days later? I'm out. I can't even plan for that.

Did you catch the one in the parking garage that had no legs and was swinging from the pipes in the ceiling? I don't think the zombies in 28 Days Later were any faster than the Dawn of the Dead remake.

You don't remember the sprinting armless asian zombie at the mall? That's as fast as a human could get I would presume. I really liked the atmosphere on that movie, really wish they would make another.

Exactly. I wouldn't mind them making a sequel to that movie.

If it's walking dead style zombies I can deal with that. 28 days later style zombies and I'm offing myself.

I wanna say Romero made four movies, the last one being Land of the Dead which I didn't really care for. But I've seen all four of them, the original Dawn of the Dead I really liked as well.

Yes sir! I'd really want to stock up on buckshot for head shots to make sure they go down. Pretty crazy. Also makes me want to make sure I can barricade myself reasonably quickly inside my house.

I watched this at Valley View mall. Perfect place for a prank like that it's a fuckin ghost town in the day and creepy at night.

The ending was disappointing, it just seemed a little too generic. I also suppose I'm just getting used to the super fast zombies.

Overall, the imagery was great, the movie had some action (albeit the same action i.e see zombies, run from zombies, kill zombies), but no thrills for this guy.

I think the point of that was to pay homage to the little zombie detector dogs in the book, but honestly, it didn't have a place in the film. I also didn't like the way the zombies worked together, but couldn't reason otherwise. They could overcome too much that way, making it a shit plot device. "Humans on the moon? No problem. Zombie tower to the moon!" Having slept on it, I can say that the film would've worked a little better as presenting itself as a one-shot character profile from the book, rather than the re-imagining it is. Oh well. It was still all right, and I'll watch it again at some point, I'm sure. This Is The End was way better.
