Caught it yesterday after work. I enjoyed most of it but didn't like the ending.
My favorite as well. And one of the most realistic IMO in as far as the zombies didn't do anything that a regular human couldn't do.Originally posted by CJ View PostMy favorite zombie movie is dawn of the dead 2004. I like fast zombies.
Did you catch the one in the parking garage that had no legs and was swinging from the pipes in the ceiling? I don't think the zombies in 28 Days Later were any faster than the Dawn of the Dead remake.Originally posted by YALE View PostI liked that remake. I wouldn't call those the fastest zombies ever, and not all of them were even fast (like the one in the fountain). I just don't like fast zombies for dick-headed nerdy reasons. And turbo zombies, like 28 days later? I'm out. I can't even plan for that.
Exactly. I wouldn't mind them making a sequel to that movie.Originally posted by CJ View PostYou don't remember the sprinting armless asian zombie at the mall? That's as fast as a human could get I would presume. I really liked the atmosphere on that movie, really wish they would make another.
LOL!Originally posted by Probie View PostIf it's walking dead style zombies I can deal with that. 28 days later style zombies and I'm offing myself.
I wanna say Romero made four movies, the last one being Land of the Dead which I didn't really care for. But I've seen all four of them, the original Dawn of the Dead I really liked as well.Originally posted by YALE View PostOh yeah! Have you seen all three originals?
Yes sir! I'd really want to stock up on buckshot for head shots to make sure they go down. Pretty crazy. Also makes me want to make sure I can barricade myself reasonably quickly inside my house.Originally posted by inline 6 View PostFor anybody that has seen it did the first spot where it hit the fan in philly not make you want to immediately go buy more mags and ammo?

Shit, I'll never go to a movie theater unarmed again (and not because of a potential zombie outbreak).Originally posted by Jose View PostI hope you are going to the show carrying concealed just in case there is an outbreak during the movie

The ending was disappointing, it just seemed a little too generic. I also suppose I'm just getting used to the super fast zombies.
Overall, the imagery was great, the movie had some action (albeit the same action i.e see zombies, run from zombies, kill zombies), but no thrills for this guy.
**They might have had one good thrill if they hadn't had the little dog clue everyone in.

I think the point of that was to pay homage to the little zombie detector dogs in the book, but honestly, it didn't have a place in the film. I also didn't like the way the zombies worked together, but couldn't reason otherwise. They could overcome too much that way, making it a shit plot device. "Humans on the moon? No problem. Zombie tower to the moon!" Having slept on it, I can say that the film would've worked a little better as presenting itself as a one-shot character profile from the book, rather than the re-imagining it is. Oh well. It was still all right, and I'll watch it again at some point, I'm sure. This Is The End was way better.Originally posted by diablo rojo View PostThe ending was disappointing, it just seemed a little too generic.
