I've seen it a few times, it just didn't have that Clerks 1 cutting room floor/unedited spontaneous greatness that the original had IMO.

I really hope he doesn't ruin it. I wasn't all that impressed with Clerks 2. Hopefully it can be a good ending, and stay ended on a good note.

If it happens I hope it is as good as 2. 2 took some time to grow on me, but I've realized it is probably the best movie sequel I've ever seen in staying true to the original characters and just continuing the plot. I hope he has some good ideas to keep 3 that way while offering a worthwhile plot to bookend it. I'm pretty fucking excited at any rate. Possibly bring some other characters from the Askewniverse into it? I know he cares about these characters, so it should be interesting.

20 years ago today, we started shooting CLERKS.
20 years later, with no plan or provocation, I jumped out of bed at 4:20 this morning and started writing CLERKS III.
It's been like hanging out with old friends.
And after 2 hours of tapping the keys and giggling, I have come to a conclusion...
CLERKS III will be the best film I'll ever make.
