Saw it last night at the Parks in Arlington.
They're doing an early release on 70MM to just 100 theaters, and AMC at the Parks is one of them. I didn't expect a huge turnout, but i got there 45 minutes early. The line was HUGE already. There was a free printed program before the movie as well as an intermission half way through.
I enjoyed the movie very much, and it was a nice seeing it on the wide 70MM film as originally intended.DE OPPRESSO LIBER

That was a bad ass movie. Saw it in 70mm, the intermission was nice and so were the booklets. Well worth the time and money.Originally posted by SilverbackLook all you want, she can't find anyone else who treats her as bad as I do, and I keep her self esteem so low, she wouldn't think twice about going anywhere else.

The regular format would have been great with an intermission but I guess when it's digital you don't need to worry about the projector catching on fire. Good movie though, just slightly too long. Cut out some of the landscape scenes (it's snow, not a lot going on) and it could have been a 2.5 hour movie.Originally posted by Rick Modena View PostThat was a bad ass movie. You are right, but I found it to be very relaxing. They used to do that back in the day (especially with westerns) spend some time on areas of the country that most Americans would never see but on the big screen. I, until recently had never been to Colorado and it was summer time when I went so it was cool to see it in the snow and that's something that I probably won't ever get to enjoy.Originally posted by BP View PostThe regular format would have been great with an intermission but I guess when it's digital you don't need to worry about the projector catching on fire. I'm a QT fan so it reminded me a lot of Reservoir Dogs. Especially Tim Roth (Mr. Pink) getting belly shot and withering in pain until he died in the corner, I kept waiting for him to whip around and start firing a gun.Originally posted by SilverbackLook all you want, she can't find anyone else who treats her as bad as I do, and I keep her self esteem so low, she wouldn't think twice about going anywhere else.
