I wonder if they had a meeting and said something like..."heres an idea, lets buy this franchise and fuck over 30 years of cannon for a few quick bucks. We wont be original at all either. Lets use the same phrases, concepts, be as unoriginal as possible and cheap actors even to try to maximize profits"

I was just pointing out that normally theaters reserve the biggest loudest theater room for the big loud action movie. Avengers and Mad Max didn't get pushed to the small screen for Pitch Perfect or whatever the "teenage girl and soccer mom" movie of the week was.

Terminator is going to be terrible, even the theaters know it.

These bad Terminator movies really show how great T2 really was. It just emphasizes what good casting, good writing, and good special effects can do. All of the movies since have had a good basis to work off of but usually poor casting or writing destroys them.

These movies are lacking innovation and substance.

Aliens, Jurassic, and Terminator are probably my three favorite movie series. I don't know, just something about the previews on this one makes it look awful and I may have to pass.
