Just finished the season. I liked it quite a bit.
As to it being anti war, I take the the opposite lesson from it. It clearly illustrates what would have happened had we not 1, developed the Bomb and 2, had the stones to use it.
Someone else would have.
This is a somewhat plausible scenario as to how history might have rolled out had we not taken care of business.
Although a lot more hot Japanese and German chicks around wouldn't be such a bad thing.
