being a superman nerd maybe I'm being biased but I loved it. it has some slow beats early on but the action scenes really pick up about half way thru. it's hard to talk about without giving up spoilers. I recommend it tho. some cool Easter eggs too.

Not being a Superman nerd, I really hope this gets me into the character like Batman Begins did. I wanna know the history. Thanks for the quick easy review!

The movie was pretty fucking badass. A lot of hand to hand combat which was a nice change. It was a pretty good movie and way better than all the other ones by far. I only caught one Easter egg which is obviously Lex Corp but it wasn't on a tower LOL. There's a scene that involves a train and all I could think about was how freightrain would be raging and shit.

Also there was NO after the credits clip of anything

This is of course my opinion and i'm on the heels of just watching it but I do feel that this is finally Superman done right, I think they nailed it. I really hope it does well as well so we can hopefully see a Justice League movie.

Hell I think some of the cartoon movies such as Superman Doomsday, Superman Unbound, Superman vs The Elite, All Star Superman, Superman/Batman Public Enemies, and Superman/Batman Apocalypse were better than the shit superman Routh portrayed.

It reminds me of how I felt after watching the first Iron Man or Dark Knight. Shannon is no Ledger, i'll admit that but I feel he did a good job with Zod. Its nice to see Superman with emotion rather than the Kristen Stewart version of Superman in Superman Returns played by Routh. Seriously fuck that movie, that movie was shit and absolute garbage.

I'd really like to hear what ya'll think about it when it releases. There are a few easter eggs to look out for.


edit: Iron Man 3 gave me that Call of Duty feeling, same shit different enemy. I think it did well simply because of Downey Jr, he nails the character. He Ledger'ed the shit out of Tony Stark basically. It was good, but I think it somewhat fell flat; to me at least. I like where they headed with the Extremis line, but it was more of the same ol same ol.

I'm sure Jeff will post up what he thought about it.

edit: i'll go ahead and call it, top 10 grossing movie of all time if current online sales are any indication. once more people see it and the buzz gets out on how epic this movie is and how its finally superman done right, it will be interesting.
