    You know, I was not aware that they are illegal in TX. Federal law bans interstate commerce of switchblades but state laws vary. In CA where I'm from, it actually is legal to own a switchblade; you just cannot carry it or sell it.

          right now i currently carry a CRKT DRIFTER and i like it just fine but... I would like one to be assisted open and have a partial serrated edge towards the back of the blade and last a while.. normally i just use my pocket knife to open boxes and cut zip ties etc... in one case i had to used it at a screw driver but wont

                I had an idea of what i wanted already but figured i would ask and get some more ideas.. After going to bass pro i played with 3 or 4 knives and liked the S&W the best or at least best for the $$
