.223 ammo ???

I dont know, for shits and giggles I sprayed a little lube on the the ammo when I was loading them in the mag, and that seemed to help. But I can fire steel with FTF's, then turn right around and load the same mag with brass, and it runs flawless.

Yea I've heard of ARs just not liking steel cases for no reason that can be solved. I haven't tried it in mine and by no means am I saying steel is bad for your weapon, just some dont like it. Strange

Regular semi auto eats it just fine, just not on full. Oh well, like you said no cheap mag dumps.

Is this lacquered steel case or un-lacquered? If it's the lacquered case (like wolf), that could very likely be the problem.

The cheap steel ammo is prob 223 and loaded with a smaller charge for lower pressures. Im not hatin, I love me some tulammo and shoot the hell out of it! its just a weak load
