To each his own; as far as I'm concerned you can spend your hard earned money on whatever the hell you want. Personally, a 1911 not chambered in .45 just seems really odd to me, but if you want one chambered in 10mm then knock yourself out. I have a collection of 1911's in .45 that are as real as they get, I have respect for the gun in all it's shapes. The 1911 is simply a vehicle, the calibers vary.
