I've never seen a 60 FTF. I've seen people screw them up by not making sure the bolt was back before shutting the top of the receiver though.

They are awesome machine guns. I've never seen a barrel melt down either, but they always made us take the spare barrel just in case.

I rarely have FTFs in my 60.

You've never pulled anyone's post apart bit by bit. Just accept the fact that you've never had anything of substance to contribute.

FWIW, I've ran a 75 round drum, 40 round mag, and 2 30 round mags back to back to back and the rifle survived just fine.

It ended up leaning against a tree at the river for the next hour, and was still hot, but it didn't malfunction.

That's 175 rounds for those counting.

This m4 test was somewhat recent, thats why it is fresh in my mind.

Reason I posted was military was/is having some issues with their current M4's which caused Colt to provide thicker barrels.
This argument sucks. In a small party survival situation firing 535 rounds is a non issue.

On top of that any rifle I have ever seen will have barrel issues after 535 rounds continous fire.

For this reason when out in patrol boats we always had to have a spare barrel for the M60. You get your M60, barrel bag 500 rounds in two cans and your 9mm sidearm. It's a freakin load for sure. And after 250 rounds you swap barrels and it's one hot mother too which is why welding gloves are in the barrel bag. Heck on the range after 50 rounds they are unbearably hot.

Go dp this test on an AK if you like.
