I'm not going to be much help in this thread. My answer to everything is a raging bull in .454 or a .460.

Take a look at the A. Uberti line of replica firearms.
I just picked up an 1873 Cattleman in .357 mag for a good price. They have a slew of old replica wheel guns. Not sure if they make a schofield or not though."Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776

yes, that kit has always been a great deal, and lee has them in their blem/closeout section from time to time.Originally posted by Nash B. View PostBeating! I bought one for .44 Magnum just to try, and it wasn't fun. For another $60-80 you can get a Lee Anniversary Kit, with a "real" press.
Mine was given to me, and for the small area I had (I rented a little bedroom) it was perfect. I didn't have much money for components either so I didn't do any volume. But i had no real issues with it.

I had one of those cattlemen (it was with the iver johnson nameplate) and it convinced me that 45LC was way better at 200yds than a 357. It really was a pretty cool pistol for $20. It was enough to get me back into IHMSA for awhile.Originally posted by BlackGT View PostTake a look at the A. Uberti line of replica firearms.

I have a Heritage Rough Rider SSA 5.5inch black .38 revolver and love it. I swaying more toward a 45LC replica that is a shooter to plink with when I can afford a box or two
Like Uberti's Army conversions (blackpowder revolver converted to cartridge)

It's not that weird. I dig some of them as well!I just love revolvers, especially old west ones for some weird ass reason."Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776

I remembered you were thinking of a wheelguin and curious bout ones available that shot cheap auto rounds. It isn't a single action cowboy style, but charter's new pitbull shoots 40S$W with No clips required, it works kind of like the medusa. They should have 9mm and 45auto sooner or later as well. It would be nicer if they had longer barrels, but charter makes snubbies and pocket guns.Originally posted by Tannerm View PostHere a question. Other the S&W 625 and taurus' 455, what other 45acp revolvers are out there? DA preferably. I know river makes a blackhawk convertible 45LC/45ACP.
