    try older 20 rounders in it I bet they all drop free (if memory serves) there was a variation change during the viet nam era guns that changed the magwell dimensions slightly (also a variation changing the outside dimensions which we all know)

    Olympic and many other manufacturers have had problems with magwell sizing on their casting dies, many of them have put out recalls on them. It isn't that uncommon.

    Right, that's one of the problem he's describing. Tight magwell isn't an easy fix. Check for burrs or casting flaws, but more than likely you're gonna live with it, or find a better fitting mag.

    Wont solve the problem of the mag hanging up on the way out. That just makes it easier to seat the mag.
