would you recommend an all in one part or a seperate wrench for barrel and castle?Originally posted by 5.0_CJ View PostI have the PRI wrench, it's indestructible.

so what is the whole list of tools needed for an AR?
 1. a punch for the roll pins
 2. hammer for driving pins
 3. regular wrench for compensator
 4. screw driver (flat/phillips/hex depending on the screw for your pistol grip).
 5. wrench for castle nut
 6. wrench for barrel nut

that's kind of a lot of tools if you had to do a field strip.www.hppmotorsports.com

I've found the separate barrel wrenches are higher quality, and easier to work with. The PRI wrench is by far the highest quality of any. You might want to also consider a vice and vice clamp to hold your receiver. I recommend the pin blocks over the plastic containment style.Originally posted by momo View Postwould you recommend an all in one part or a seperate wrench for barrel and castle?

A good set of T handle allen wrenches. Most aftermarket parts us allen head screws
I also have a few different barrel wrenches. Some of the aftermarket handguards use different barrel nuts with a lower profile. My DD wrench is a laser cut piece of steel with a 1/2" wrenching hole for $10.
If you are going to be doing barrel swaps get a torque wrench that uses is not a dial or click type. Think old school.Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

They don't break, and you don't have to worry about them seizing up inside/becoming inaccurate."When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin
