I wrote and asked if they could give me a reliable, safe and clean 40oz trigger from the factory, with one spring for 38spl bullseye and one spring for 357mag IHMSA Big Bore loads. We'll see what they say. My guess is they won't go below 4lbs and that is with some good aftermarket smithing. And I don't want to pay thousands for something that will only feed one load without problems.Originally posted by Nash B. View PostYou won't do it, pussy.

It got here as planned, and I'm 100% happy with it. Didn't have much time at the range, but did have a fitment issue with my spare Wilson 47 DOX magazine. I'll sort that out on Friday.
The gun is as tight and smooth as I could have asked for. I absolutely hate buying something sight unseen, but I didn't have much choice and I knew what I wanted. Chuck @ Shooters Connection was nice enough to put his hands on the gun and inspect it personally, and for that I'm thankful. Now I just need to get rub some of the "New" off of it.

I seriously thought you were kidding until now. Why a pink gun? Pink is for girls."When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin

That is a nice peice of machine work. I can't get over the color though. I can picture Adam walking around with his penis tucked.

Well I wanted an officer length gun, and I don't like boring stuff. When I saw this gun, I liked the features, it had absolutely everything that I wanted except for a checkered front strap. I thought the color was/is absolutely hilarious. I think most pink stuff is absolutely hilarious.Originally posted by 5.0_CJ View PostI seriously thought you were kidding until now. Why a pink gun? Worst case scenario, I get tired of the novelty and throw a nice set of grips on it and 86 the paint in the engraving, no biggie.
Cheapest Texas built STIs are the Ranger II (Commander), Trojan (Gov) and Guardian (3.9" barrel); they all cost ~$1000. The Trojan is the best shooting 1911 you can buy short of $2000. You will find no better fitted and shooting pistol. If you don't have a 1911, that's a great one to choose.Originally posted by soap View PostI not a female. But I do look like a bitch!!! Then they go up from there. You can get into a double stack gun (Eagle) for ~$1600.
If You'd like to see what they're all about, you're welcome to look at/shoot mine. I've also got a double stack VIP in .40.Last edited by ThreeFingerPete; 11-24-2011, 11:05 AM.

The Trojan at $1000 is MUCH less than many of the Kimbers and Springfields you'll see at any gun show and none of them will touch the level of quality. Although current Springfields are light years ahead of current Kimbers.Originally posted by soap View PostSo looks like. STI is right up there in price range. With les bear and. Ed brown.
gotta say. The OP gun is one Sexy piece of steel.
Les Baers start about $1700 and go way up from there, Wilson, Nighthawk and Ed Brown start about $2800 and go way up from there.
