Dad's rifle before optics was around 3K, my step-mom's slightly less. One of his best friends did a LOT of the 'smithing in exchange for tax/accounting work, so you can figure a lot of the labor is nix'd.Originally posted by PGreenCobraI can't get over the fact that you get to go live the rest of your life, knowing that someone made a Halloween costume out of you. It was very realistic until recently. High end optics have come down in price in recent years. My $4k single shot bolt action has a US Optics SN3 on it that cost $4k with rings & base back when I bought it. This weekend I added a Trijicon 1.25-4x24 AccuPoint to a Mini 14 ranch rifle and a Trijicon 5-20X50 AccuPoint to an Armalite AR15. In both cases the glass cost nearly as much as the rifle. I have some rifles with 3rd gen night vision mounted in front of some very high end glass and probably have 8k in the setup not including the rifle.Originally posted by Chopped54 View PostUnless you are shooting cheap, piece of shit guns, that rule is not very realistic.
Hell, come to think of it I have spent nearly 1k putting match iron sights onto a rifle before.Last edited by svauto-erotic855; 01-16-2012, 05:53 PM.Magnus, I am your father. You need to ask your mother about a man named Calvin Klein.
