    Thanks for the heads up on Savage. I am still looking up the difference between the BA and the FCP, but I like the FCP better and it is only $1,200 (budsgunshop.com).

    Other than that, you are right. You can build a 338 Lapua on a MacMillan stock with a 2 oz trigger for somewhere around 9k.
    Not saying it's going to be as accurate as a true custom built BR, but has anyone seen the new Savage 110BA in .338LM? With an MSRP of $2,394, it may be a good place to start...

    Here's a .338 Lapua for you. For the money they seem to be good shooters. I've seen them in action at a local range near my FIL's house where Savage does demos and provides the ammo to let you shoot them.

    Hell yeah, that's a hell of a lot closer than TacPro... do they have any rates up for the range fees? I don't see any.

    I was actually thinking about doing some 110 gr reloads for the 270, but then again I might look into a 223. Maybe its time to pony up into an AR. So many choices. Still have the 30.30 too.
