The 7.5" Barrels are 1:10 twist so stabilizing subsonic rounds might be questionable. The SAAMI specifications for the cartridge say that a 1:10 barrel will stabilize up to a 220gr, but they make no mention of the barrel length.



I guess some testing will be in order.

Barrels with a 1:10 twist will stabilize 220 grain (14 g) bullets at subsonic speeds. 125 grain (8 g) bullets will reach 2400 ft/s (730 m/s).

I guess some testing will be in order.

CJ what do you think about getting a group buy going for these uppers? Is it even worth it? Has this ever been done before? Ex. 20 uppers 10-20% off or something along those lines if we could do it? Just a thought before we all order one?

I just got my email back from Neil. Apparently they make their barrels in house. I don't see how that's possible, but I'm going to grab that .308 upper from him. It's too cheap not to try.

Looks like a 16" that's no 10.5" or 7.5" That barrel/upper looks great.

Seems good so far, but it will be a while before i get to shoot it. I ordered it on Friday and it arrived today and it was exactly as described. I had a bunch of parts i bought while deployed last year just sitting in the safe. So i when ahead a built a gun. The one thing i may change is the gas block, i have a low profile PRI adjustable for it instead.
