That Colt was built in 1927? If I remember correctly, mighta been '25, I shoot it regularly.

I swapped the factory hammer mainspring for the Beretta "D" spring which takes a little off the DA pull. While the DA/SA trigger is still not as nice as my Sig P239 9mm, it's still pretty good. I think the gun is well balanced and points nicely. From 50 yards in a standing position I can get about 75-80% of my shots on an 8x10 target, and I'm by no means a sharp shooter. All in all I'd say that's pretty accurate for what it is.

The 92 isn't the best pistol out there but all in all they are solid reliable shooters. ;-)

Beretta 92A1 with 21 rounds of 9mm and the Remington 870 with 5 rounds of Turkey Loads in the closet.

Nice. I have a 96 with a 92 upper whenever I want to change out calibers. At least a thousand rounds using each slide and never a misfire of any sort. Contemplating using it for conceal if I can find the right holster.

How old is he? As long as he's 18 or older he can own a pistol you just can't buy one from a FFL holder (you can via private party sale though or if it's gifted.......such as from his dad). Though most stores won't sell pistol ammo to anyone under 21.

I keep my duty XD9 and a light on the nightstand. However I did just pick up a Mossy 500 Persuader from CTD on Sunday. That will be new one.

I guess I need to get out to a range and rent one. We had to qualify on the M9 and IMHO it was one of the WORST triggers on any gun I've fired. You know, besides Glock But in all seriousness, I couldn't ever see myself considering the purchase of one based on how those shot. The ergonomics were just goofy, the action felt clumsy and it pointed all wrong. I guess to each his own

Oh and on topic: HK USP-C 40 and a G-2

My carry PF9 sits on the nightstand loaded with 9 hollow points, my Norinco 213 sits under the mattress loaded with 9 hollow points, my 870 is hiding behind a ficus tree in the corner loaded with 5 bird hunting rounds. My 55 pound border collie sounds pretty nasty behind a door and he's very territorial and protective.

Yep, 92's look great and are nice shooters. It's actually my wife's favorite to shoot. I keep procrastinating but I want to add night sights and pick up a Streamlight TLR-1s for it.
