I just wanted to clarify this. Isn't the only difference between a ruger MKII magazine, and an MKIII magazine the floor plate? I thought you could change the floor plate out and you had a MK3 mag, is that right?

According to this video: www .youtube.com/watch?v=Q2H0oqvAIRE, The magazine release is different between the two. The Mkii mag doesn't have a notch for the thumb release button. The mkiii does.
My 22/45 has the thumb release, but has a different base.
