Looking forward to seeing how yours operates. I just got the tracking number for my RedX barrel and upper receiver. If yours works favorably, i'll buy a pistol op-rod for my AA kit.

I heard back from Matt at AA today. They are shipping me practically a new kit entirely, including a new gas block. Big props to them, clearly they are busy and a smaller operation but they have great customer service and they care about their customers. The same can be said for RedX, both were very helpful and responded to my questions.

Well you remember them (AA) giving me a pistol rod for NOTHING when I was prepared to buy one to test out. That and their willingness to swap out my gas port plunger tell me they care about their customers.

Have you decided what size you're going to make the gas port?

I'm goign to take it to AA spec, to eliminate that as a cause. Have to heat the barrel up with an acytelene torch and then tack it with a tig to prevent warping, then grind/smooth/ and redrill.
