My dad shot a few rounds from his AK. About twenty years ago. Again i forgot the plugs. And it was at an indoor rang. It fucked my up bad for about 4hrs. But the damn nagant was 5x worse and this was an outdoor range. That's why im afraid to shot mine.

I will say this though, you have lost some hearing. Loud noises steal hearing over time in a gradual way. You may have lost less than 1% but it is gone and doesnt return.

Its also why i always use Ear protection with the microphones. I leave them on all the time when at the range and behind the firing line. Only take them off down range when cold.
Im really considering doubling up on protection next time. Or any advice on some good ear muffs?

I slapped the water hard on my right ear, summer before last wake boarding. It hurt like hell for a while, had ringing, and had a feeling like water on the ear moving around. I still get the water on the ear feeling from time to time pretty bad and it never seems to completely go away. As far as the ringing, is expect it to pass.

nagant rifle fired 3ft from my head. no ear plugs!

Was at the the range yesterday. I forgot to put my ear plugs back in. The guy next to my shot off one round from a nagant. I quickly put my plugs in but was exposed to one shot

Now my right ear is still ringing. More like a buzzing sound.
From what I've been told so far not much a doctor can do.
just wanna know if this has happened to one of y'all. And how long did your ear buzzing last???
Working...
