For what it is worth I put 20 rounds through my (wife's) upper this weekend just as a function check (I am still deciding on sites) and it ran flawlessly. I am also quite impressed with the build quality; it does not look like I only spent $400 on it.

I ordered a 20" bull barrel complete upper from Red X on 1/1. I got a call this morning that the hold up was the chrome bolt I wanted with it and I could either cancel the order or get the phosphate bolt. It should be here sometime next week...

I know you can't compare apples to oranges, but I just placed an order for in stock items through Red Barn Armory on the 30th, and I got them in snail mail today. Got a discount on my order AND free shipping. Everything was normal priced except for the BCGs, but they were in stock, complete, and staked. $160 after the discount. I have $99 BCGs on order, but that's through RedXArms

This thread reminded me that the CC I used to order an upper has expired as well. I sent RedX an e-mail this morning with the updated info and they just called me. They said the chrome BCG is the holdup and that they could ship it today if I opt for the regular BCG.
