Just a standard P7??? If so, I have a unfired nickel and chrome one for sale! There are many different variations, make sure you look for the right one. Either a P7 PSP, or a P7 M8.04 2.6 KB'd Cobra!

One of the things I liked about my 4006 was the fact that the gun won't fire without a magazine in it.
The P7 will fire without a magazine.
I carried that gun thinking if I ever got into a fight over it, if I could just hit the mag release I could let go of the gun and use both hands to eliminate the threat.

Naw, you should be able to get into one for about $1,000 give or take a hundred bucks.Originally posted by FunFordCobra View PostWow shit, they are 2k+ $$$??
The rarer models like the M13 an M10 go for big money though.Originally posted by lincolnboyAfter watching Games of Thrones, makes me glad i was not born in those years.

No, I didn't fire it.Originally posted by slowyellow View PostI'm assuming by your statement that you didn't shoot one. That's when you really become a fan.
And as a disclaimer, they are not good ranges guns. They heat up very quickly, but that wasn't why they were designed. They are very accurate, and reliable right out of the box.
I can't see how shooting it would make any difference.

There are many documented cases of the bad guys getting an officer's p7 and being unable to fire it because they were unfamiliar with the squeeze cocking mechanism.Originally posted by 03trubluGT View PostOne of the things I liked about my 4006 was the fact that the gun won't fire without a magazine in it.

When the New Jersey State Police switched from the p7 to the S&W Model 99, they switched right back to the P7 because of reliability issues and whatnot.Originally posted by lincolnboyAfter watching Games of Thrones, makes me glad i was not born in those years.

P7s are badass. With the low bore axis and gas system they are a breeze to shoot and extremely accurate for a small pistol. The PSP models are out there for reasonable prices, or used to be, as LE trade-ins. The M10 and M13 models have been pulling high prices for years. At least higher than I would be willing to pay. Really the only issue is with the gas system, the frame and trigger get really not after a few mags.

The last production run (small one) was in 2009. They became cost prohibitive to make and H&K was losing money on every one they sold.Originally posted by mightyp View Postso they are so badass they aren't made anymore? were they too badass?

I don't get this. HK long guns for the most part are cheap as fuck. Back in the 80's, a Colt AR15 was priced higher than a 93 and a 91. The 90 series is expensive here because we banned them from import and high costs are driven by rarity. Post sample MP5s are sold to PDs for $600 a pop, and pistols are expensive because they are 100% made in one factory in Germany (unlike glock with uses a hodgepodge of parts from psuedo-germany and Georgia). They then have to ship them overseas, pay tariffs, and sell their shit which is admittedly costly.Originally posted by Buzzo View Postit cant be that the pistol was over priced and no one bought them. Oh wait, its an HK, nevermindOriginally posted by lincolnboyAfter watching Games of Thrones, makes me glad i was not born in those years.

I guess NJ decided that the P7 wasn't that great because they dumped it in 2000 whereas Glock has been around since 1981 and has about 65% of the US LEO market.Originally posted by DOHCTR View PostThere are many documented cases of the bad guys getting an officer's p7 and being unable to fire it because they were unfamiliar with the squeeze cocking mechanism.

All trolling and nonsensical jibber-jabber aside, I would state that the P7 PSP is the finest concealed carry gun ever designed, and it served many a lawman well over the years across the globe. I do believe that what killed it as a duty weapon was the capacity issue; the M13 was simply too bulky.Originally posted by 03trubluGT View PostI guess it wasn't such a good gun after all???Originally posted by lincolnboyAfter watching Games of Thrones, makes me glad i was not born in those years.
