I was pointing out that there are people in the classifieds offering excellent deals on products that are scarce right now. Do you feel as though you are overcharging and need to defend yourself and your prices?Originally posted by Mychael101 View Postrequest sent
I can't speak for cobra93teal but I see no reason for people to get pissy towards sellers about the price of mags. The short supply and flood of impulse buyers have had more to do about the inflated pricing then shops or individuals gouging. The market is what is determining the price of pmags.
There's no pressure to purchase. I'm just putting them out there for people that might be interested.
Nothing wrong with making a buck but many people here sell things for fair prices and save the inflated ones for other forums. It's a free county though

I agree. $40 mags will not be allowed unless they are made with silver and gold or for rifles and pistols that typically need $40 mags. Selling $12 items for 3-10x the cost is screwing your fellow gun owners.Originally posted by kingjason View PostThe problem is people buying 200-500 at a time every time they pop up anywhere and then causing a shortage. Especially when everyone on this site was posting links to deals in stock and then people were buying them out. Then on top of that coming on here and trying to gouge long time forum members.
No problem with a guy trying to make a buck but it just looks in bad form the way it is going down sometimes.

how do you guys not understand supply and demand? Who is selling $12 pmags? Where can you get them? To say selling them at $35 right now is robbery is crazy as you cant find them sitting on the shelf.
I think having another avenue to sell and trade isnt a bad idea but to say raising prices is wrong is going against basic capitalism

I agree. It's similar to finding hotels in Midland/Odessa. You've got to pay to play.Originally posted by 8mpg View Posthow do you guys not understand supply and demand? Who is selling $12 pmags? Kudos to the OP, for sure. I just have to laugh at all the gouging comments I've seen lately.Originally posted by BradMBut, just like condoms and women's rights, I don't believe in them.Originally posted by LeahIn other news: Brent's meat melts in your mouth.

I find mags daily selling for $15-25 from numerous retail online stores. People who are not retailers buying simply to resell are only hurting the gun community and fattening their wallets. Supply and demand is fine, but there would not be such a lowered supply if people were not taking advantage of their fellow gun owners by purchasing in bulk items that they know they only want to resell. Getting rich is fine, I just prefer to do it in a fair and honest way.Originally posted by 8mpg View Posthow do you guys not understand supply and demand? Who is selling $12 pmags? In other words, if you wanna price gouge, fine, it is just not happening on my page.

Sounds like a typical liberal.. It's ok to make money but it needs to be fair, I and not at my expense. Next comment from you is "the rich need to pay their fair share".Originally posted by Venix View PostI find mags daily selling for $15-25 from numerous retail online stores. Please show me ANYWHERE that has pmags in stock for $25 which is still double the normal price (gouging)

Thank you. You can try your luck finding 30 round mags at a large retailer but the prices have gone up as well, cabelas had a few steel 30 round mags for $34.99. As far as pmags you might find them online but you're likely looking at 6-8 weeks for delivery if they don't cancel your order.Originally posted by 8mpg View Posthow do you guys not understand supply and demand? Lol, what does politics have to do with any of this. I don't give a damn if you buy 10,000 of them for yourself. I do, however, give a damn about people screwing each other to make money. I would say that the liberals are all in favor of screwing everyone to make money.Originally posted by 8mpg View PostSounds like a typical liberal.. There are people going to every Walmart in town and clearing the shelves simply to post the ammo online for 2-3x the money. Due to this, no one has access to ammo unless they pay inflated prices. Three box limit is not at all being enforced and people have deals with stocking guys so that they can buy out an entire stock before it ever hits the shelves. Show me where Americans means "fuck your fellow man by ripping him off any chance you get."

Screwing your fellow people is how business is run. People are here to make money, not be a charity. What do businesses do? They buy from manufacturers (magpul) for $8 a mag and sell at $16. Double their money. Seriously, this is how a business works since you dont quite understand it. Just because someone make a small percentage (grocery store) profit vs a large percentage (vehicles), people must make money to survive. Simple supply and demand. Did you get pissed when you couldnt buy your beanie babies?

I send my overpriced stuff to different forums but price things fairly when I do sell here as I've gotten many good deals from other members posts. Perhaps I'm a hypocrite as I've made some pretty good money "screwing" other people over but keep it elsewhere.Originally posted by 8mpg View Posthow do you guys not understand supply and demand? But if one cannot make snide comments about others overpriced items in the classifieds, what has this world come to?

I promise you I have run a business and handled significantly more money that you have ever dreamed of, yet I still don't screw people.
Anyway, not worth my time to argue. I will let the thread be used for its original intention: to facilitate a place for others to share deals and sell weapons.
Meant for 8mpg not the above guy.
