Don, didn't mean to call you out. Thanks for sharing with these guys though. Just goes to show that we should not take them lightly. Yes, your incident stemmed from paperwork and NOT the site, but to think we are not on their radar NOW is niave.

I like the description of the thug'd out undercovers. The ARFcom hat is hillarious.

Still would have told them to fuck off under duress, coercion, and possibility of death and get a warrant.

That shit can get flipped any number of ways and you could still have been fucked over with charges and an attorney.

"Definite possibility" gives me the same sad face.

More like a "Hey, can we talk to you for a minute?" kind of deal.

They didn't knock on the door until the day I drove the mustang to work.

    Perhaps.

    Correct.

I answered the door to a couple undercover BATF agents. They were both bearded, wearing cargo shorts and beat up T-shirts (taller one had an ARFCOM hat on), the shorter guy was 6'0/220lbs and the taller one was 6'5/240lbs. The BATF sends some mean looking motherfuckers for their house calls.

They have an insta-check they do once a certain number of lower receivers are purchased. In my situation, I dealt with an FFL that couldn't use my CHL because it was from Utah, he did it a different way to save time, cut a corner and he fucked up the paperwork. The ATF paid him a visit and the ball rolled downhill from there. I was threatened with straw purchasing the weapons on a per gun basis, 5 years per lower (there were 13). Needless to say I was compliant.

The funny part is that the agents were pretty cool once they realized that I wasn't shipping guns across the border. We talked shop about CCWs (one carried a G27 like me, the other a Sig) & liquor (taller guy liked my Scotch collection and joked about "needing to confiscate it for purity testing purposes") and they told me about a big moonshiner raid they did 6 months prior. I got hold of 5 ARs from the group buy to show that the lowers were all still around and in good hands. All-in-all, I know why they were there (FAST AND FURIOUS) and once they realized I was not the droid they were searching for, everything was cool.

On another note, I had just recieved an order of Habanos and there was a ziplock bag with 100 cigars in it from the ISOM. As Big Guy was searching my room Short Guy noticed my cabinet humidor and the cigars. He turns slowly to me and says dryly, "nice cigar collection" and just dead silence. I smiled and said "thanks". It's always a happy day when a couple BATF agents are eye-fucking 20 boxes worth of Habanos and tell you they're jealous.

I am with YOLO on this also. I will not be party to any illegal or wrong doing in the eyes of the ATF. It is just not a battle I want. Their track record is too scary for me to want to subject myself to them.

Yes!!! I will make it catch on. Seriously though, everything should be kept on the up and up as to not put the board or its owners in harms way. There is no reason to hide anything in this scenario.
