I'm not a revolver fan but I have a good friend that is offering a S&W model 686 357 with a 6" barrel and hogue grps for $300. There are a few scratches and the cylinder shows a little wear but other than that it has been taken care of. Does this sound like a good price?

They're more than double that new, so if the condition is good it's more than worth it, IMO.. Are you looking to keep it, or just considering it as a flip? If you want to keep it then go for it.Originally posted by Ted View PostI'm not a revolver fan but I have a good friend that is offering a S&W model 686 357 with a 6" barrel and hogue grps for $300. And you can get a brand new cylinder (unfluted, which I personally like better) for less than $150 (may be able to find for less, this was 10 seconds of searching):
Buy it.
Hopefully he has ammo! lolLast edited by Chili; 05-10-2013, 08:15 PM.

Thanks everyone. I just picked it up. I'm probably going to hang on to it for the time being just for the fact it's a good friend and I told him I would give him the first chance at buying it back if he decides to one day. It was more about getting it so that it didn't end up in a pawn shop.
