That's a damn good idea. If I lived in an apartment and had no friends or family in the area, I wouldn't hesitate to this. I'll have to remember this.Originally posted by CJ View Postyou can pawn them, they'll toss them in their safe, and then you pick up the slip when you return. A lot of people do that.

I was not including his NFA items in that.Originally posted by David View PostWouldn't pawning NFA items be a transfer?"When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin

I know to some what I want to do with my firearms seems a bit much, but I am willing to take extra steps to secure my guns. I live in a nice neighborhood and have good relations with my neighbors that will watch my house while I'm gone, but to satisfy my worries I'd rather they be kept in a place with a much better security in place. I would be distraught if a stolen firearm of mine was used in a homocide or used against LEO's. Don't want that on my conscience.

It's still a transfer even if he is an SOT. I believe the only way he hold an item is if he is servicing it. Anyone want to confirm that?Originally posted by bigmuskie View PostI'm gonna ask Chuck at Ross Gunworks if he will hold them. I'm sure he would since I bought them through him."When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin
