My grandfather used to carry a snub .38 with SWC's and he said it was only meant for up front and personal shooting. Shoot anyone between 3-6 feet and it was time to call their relatives to come pick them up.

That's the way I felt about it. 5 to 10 feet is the realistic range of a snub nose IMO. The Ultra Carry with a little over an extra inch was nailing it though but I figure the single action trigger didn't hurt either. Still, I was still hitting inside the the paper at 10 feet and eventually got it down to within the inner circle can't be to bad. Plus it was on my first outing and I was double tapping and speed reloading rounds to see how it handled.Originally posted by Rick Modena View PostMy grandfather used to carry a snub .38 with SWC's and he said it was only meant for up front and personal shooting. Picked up a couple of holsters for the LCR recently and I'm really digging them.
First is a Mitch Rosen holster. It's my first leather holster. Got a killer deal on it.

Second is a Comp-Tac 2 O'clock.

Think I might pick up an ankle holster next for the days I have to dress up and can't easily conceal (don't really care for a pocket holster).
