Yeah that's the same bag for sure."When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin
"A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury." -Alexander Fraser Tytler

That looks a lot like this one... I have this one and it's awesome! I used it all the time for shooting IDPA and USPSA. I still take it on every range trip.Originally posted by kbscobravert View PostThis one is what I have. Was around $100 and has lasted me well. Even loaded with pistol ammo, the strap and construction have held up.
The center removable bag, I keep removed so my pistols rugs will fit in there.

Yes all of the bags above are the same manufacturer, midway contracts them to embroider their name on it.

Yeah I definitely load mine with ammo. Many times I've probably had it close to 80lbs, but that's why I bought it, I want 1 bag and that's it. I usually keep all my ammo, a rifle, and two pistols in it.Originally posted by Trip McNeely View PostI've had mine about 5 years, no problems with it yet. I also don't load it with ammo though. I have a separate bag for that. Just guns, mags, cleaning kit, etc..."When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin

I have a backpack with my ammo, and use that bag for everything else. Ammo is always heavy so I like it strapped to my back.Originally posted by CJ View PostYeah I definitely load mine with ammo. Ever read about the guy who was robbed at gunpoint as soon as he parked in his driveway? Apparently someone followed him home from the range.
I go stealthy. For handguns, I use a Sears toolbag. For rifles, I use a Nike baseball bat bag. My neighbors don't need to know what I'm carrying. That, and I always have one on my hip even when I'm going to or coming from the range.Last edited by Leah; Yesterday at 10:18 PM.

Ha. That's a good idea. I haven't heard of that story.Originally posted by propellerhead View PostEver read about the guy who was robbed at gunpoint as soon as he parked in his driveway? Apparently someone followed him home from the range.

That's dumb of criminals seeing as the person is probably carrying their CHL piece on them in addition to the other guns they take to the range.

So if someone follows you home from the range, what difference does your stealth like capabilities make?Originally posted by propellerhead View PostEver read about the guy who was robbed at gunpoint as soon as he parked in his driveway? Apparently someone followed him home from the range.

Nothing. The idea there is to go low key so someone doesn't follow me home to rob me.Originally posted by David View PostSo if someone follows you home from the range, what difference does your stealth like capabilities make?
Edit: It makes more sense for apartment dwellers. You don't want to advertise what you have when your walking from your car to your door.Last edited by Leah; Yesterday at 10:18 PM.

But if you're leaving a range and they see you walking out with a big bag or little bag, it's probably safe to assume you're doing or buying something gun related. In which case if they're following you for that reason your jacked either way.Originally posted by propellerhead View PostNothing. I tried all the different range bags and finally settled on one of these heavy duty backpack http://www.lapolicegear.com/diplomat...backpack1.html.
It is completely discrete, holds everything, and still free up my hands to carry rifle bags. I like it so much that I bought a second one to use as my carry-on bag when I travel. Take care not to mix up the two or you are going to end up with a body cavity search if they ever swipe it for gun powder...
As for rifle bags, the best bet is to look through second hands stores for guitar bags or sport (golf/hocky/football) bags. Obviously an M4 is going to be easier to carry discretely than a scoped Remington 700 with a 20" barrel...
Can't see what the inside looks like, but this could be a possibility... http://www.tgw.com/customer/category...&CP=YMAL:16053Last edited by txminime; 12-08-2013, 10:12 AM.
