    Shot 2014?

    Anyone else going to the SHOT Show in January? I have never been and am pretty excited. I got a media pass and a range day pass and am already excited. If anyone else is going we should collaborate for a DFWM beer bust.

      I was hoping to go this year but we aren't doing a booth. Maybe next year.

                        Simple, be a partner in a business that gets plenty of invites. Get on airplane and go to Vegas. The surplus distributor show that they have next door sometimes on the same weekend is worth it also.

                          You have to apply to get in, pay $175 (if not media, if media then free), and show "documentation demonstrating direct, professional affiliation to the trade". My affiliation with TFB was not enough, I had to send a bunch of articles showing I was not just a puppet tagged in to be able to go, as well as my full, non abbreviated name (A. Capps was not accepted).

                          Maybe they have tightened requirements though.

                            All I know I is I get an email with an itinerary in early summer with an invite request from my friends business. Fill out my information and then I receive a packet and a pass on a lanyard a couple months later in the mail. We then drive or fly to Vegas.

                            Last time I went was its first year in Vegas if I recall in 10. Before that I went once in Florida.
