The magpul followers are great. The magazines work fine too. I just don't want to own magazines that I can't leave loaded for a year without them failing. If you leave a plastic one loaded in a weapon no problem. Leave it loaded and sitting on a shelf and eventually it will spread, unload itself and become unuseable.

In the military we had plenty of loaded mags all the time at the armory.... all metal.

So metal mags are cheaper and work in everything. Ill stick with them.
