Where do you carry? I really don't see a few millimeters mattering. And the only way removing those would keep them from digging into you is if you carried SOB or weak side cross draw

Congratulations and nice choice! As far as modifying it, I wouldn't even consider it unless it was available as a factory option (and as far as I know it wasn't).

    Finally pulled the trigger..

After going back and forth on buying a new pistol, I FINALLY decided to buy the Baretta PX4 Storm Compact 9mm at Cabelas. It was $549.99 but I had $400 in gift certificates. So it was only $200 after taxes.

Next up is a refresher course in gun safety, getting a safe, and then the CHL. I'm going out to a buddies on Saturday. He has a few acres around Aubrey that has a firing range. I also found out that a buddy at church makes holsters as a hobby.

However I do have a question? The slide catch and safety/decocker are ambidextrous. Is it possible for a gunsmith to modify this for right handed shooters only? I haven't decided to do this yet, but I can see that it would knock a few millimeters off the width of the weapon, eliminating a couple of points that could dig into my side. Does it make sense to even consider it?
