Traded a single shot 7mm08 that I paid $150 for a couple of years ago for a sd40ve with laser sights and 2 hi cap mags.

I think you might have come out behind on that one. One of the worst pistols I've shot. The trigger pull was so hard that I thought the safety was on.

the sd40ve was my first gun and what a horrible choice. An experienced shooter could shoot it but it was just no fun for me and on top of that was just plain ugly and clunky. I believe the trigger pull was around 11 lbs on mine.

I am glad it was my first gun because I learned you really get what you pay for.

My first gun as well, and same opinion on mine. Believe my trigger was about 14 pounds.
